Wai Yong was called out of psychiatry serendipitously into the endlessly fascinating and complex world of lutherie. She established the current workshop with the aim of serving the needs of professionals, non-professionals, musicians, students and teachers. Her main interest is in new-making. She hopes to make many violins, violas and cellos moving forward with the simple aim of making instruments that allow musicians to express themselves fully and easily. Wai Yong works in the workshop with a rescue dog that thinks it’s a cat.
